The execution

I started this project by thinking about how to create something different from the thousands of chewing gum products out there. Inspired by the way the remote control solved a specific problem, I decided to solve one I faced a lot in my youth: having to bring my wallet into risky situations, like nightclubs, where I might lose it. That’s how the idea came to life.

This insight shaped the core concept: designing a pack of chewing gum that could double as a credit card holder. I carefully crafted the packaging to match the dimensions of a credit card, iterating through numerous tests to perfect the box design. Once the structure was finalized, I developed a sleek, serious graphic design that incorporated bold, ambiguous text to complement the playful yet functional concept.

Once the design was done, I made the box physically, painted it, and did a quick photoshoot showcasing the usability of the product, featuring my favorite teacher’s American Express credit card… Using those photos, I worked in Lightroom and Photoshop to create a realistic mockup with my digital design.

To wrap it up, I created poster ads that tied everything together. The campaign shows off the gum’s unique functionality with an ambiguous tone, making it stand out while keeping things cohesive.
